Governor signs teacher performance evaluation bill
IFT fought for changes to improve the legislation

Governor Pat Quinn signed Senate Bill 315, the Performance Evaluation Reform Act of 2010, into law on Friday, Jan. 15. The new law will change the way teachers and principals are evaluated, but will not take effect in most school districts for at least a couple of years while details of the system are established.
