Internal Operations
The IFT’s Department of Internal Operations (DIO) develops, implements and maintains multiple applications that simplify many of the financial and record keeping tasks of IFT local union leaders. The department also provides local union officers with financial training and assistance with complex federal and state compliance issues. To make sure that all members receive information about the benefits,
services and communications they are entitled to through IFT membership, the DIO continually updates the union’s membership database.
To ensure that IFT’s internal operations run efficiently and effectively, the department maintains the union’s statewide network (including e-mail, video conferencing and Web sites) and continually develops new computer programs and databases to meet the union’s changing needs.
