Make your voice heard – contact lawmakers and urge them to support a Fair Tax!

Tomorrow, April 30: Fair Tax Day of Action

Unfortunately, the outdoor rally portion of the April 30th Fair Tax Day of Action has been cancelled due to weather conditions, but you can still show your support!

Governor Pritzker's proposed Fair Tax will provide income tax relief for more than 97 percent of Illinoisans and generate more than $3.4 billion per year in much-needed revenue. Lawmakers plan to vote on the amendment soon, so we must make our voices heard.

Here’s what you can do tomorrow to support a Fair Tax:

  • Spread the word on social media. Click here for a share graphic to post.

  • Tell your legislators why a Fair Tax is important to you. Find their contact information here.

  • Lobby your lawmakers in Springfield. Despite the weather, buses are still running to Springfield. Reserve your seat here. Buses will arrive at the Springfield AFL-CIO office at 534 S 2nd St. at 10 AM, and then participants will head to the capitol to lobby.

We can’t control the weather, but we can control the message. Tomorrow, let’s join our voices and show our support for a Fair Tax!
