BIG Classes are a BIG Mistake!

ISBE Announces Public Hearing Dates

Due to the enormous outpouring of comments from IFT members and others in opposition to the Illinois State Board of Education's (ISBE) proposed change to eliminate special education class size limits, ISBE has announced four public hearings.

We need your help! If you are available please attend one of these hearings.

While our aggressive advocacy postponed this devastating action, our work is not done, and class size limits could still be removed.
These hearings provide a valuable opportunity for IFT members to voice concerns about the proposed elimination of class size protections and share how they will impact your classroom and your students. Please encourage parents to attend as well. This may be our last chance to speak out on this issue.

ISBE will hold three on-site public hearings, in addition to a webinar.
