Register for free online training for teachers, by teachers

2/24/2014

One of the most valuable things the union provides teachers is training and resources to help you do your job even better. More than a million educators have already joined AFT’s Share My Lesson (SML), the union’s online professional development community created for teachers, by teachers.

Now you can also sign up for SML’s first virtual conference to be held March 11-13, 2014. This FREE event, called Teaching & Learning: Ideas & Innovations, will provide 24 online webinars and workshops over three evenings. Sessions will be conducted by Share My Lesson’s content partners, educational leaders, and expert teachers. You simply log into your computer to attend!

These interactive workshops will offer great new ideas for your classroom and lesson plans that actually work with kids. Best of all, you will receive an e-mail attendance verification that can be used to earn professional development credit (if your district will accept it).

The conference will kick off at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, March 11. AFT President Randi Weingarten will be the keynote speaker, with a motivational message on how to reclaim the promise of public education.

If you haven’t already joined Share My Lesson, do so today!

Then register for the Share My Lesson virtual conference on March 11-13 to get the training you want at no cost, with no travel or lost work time.

View the complete agenda online.

Separate registration is required for each workshop to ensure you get credit for attendance.
