Register for summer training opportunities


Summer is just around the corner, and it's time to register for these great union training opportunities available to IFT leaders and members in June!

Don't miss this popular annual training and union leadership development program held at beautiful Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin.

Great Lakes ULI is co-sponsored by the IFT and American Federation of Teachers and is specially designed to address the needs of union leaders and members in the Midwest region.

Courses will include:

  • Union Leadership Skills
  • Effective Grievance Administration (Part 1)
  • Introduction to Negotiations and Contract Campaigns
  • Communicating Our Union Message to Others

In addition to hands-on learning, Great Lakes ULI participants have the chance to network with fellow union members in a relaxed setting.

Summer ULI (Peoria) - June 8-10

If you can't make the trip to Wisconsin, this convenient new three-day summer Union Leadership Institute (ULI) in Central Illinois may be just the thing for you!

Like other ULI workshops, this regional training is designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced union leaders and members. Courses will include:

  • Grievance Administration (Part 1)
  • Introduction to Collective Bargaining
