Every third Wednesday of each November is PSRP Day in Illinois, a day to recognize the contributions of the hard working paraprofessionals and school-related personnel (PSRPs) across our state. This year, PSRP Day is November 21.

To commemorate this important day and recognize those who provide essential services in our PreK-12 schools and higher education institutions, the IFT is offering a variety of PSRP Day resources to help educate IFT members, parents and the public about the day and the vital work PSRPs perform.

Visit www.illinoiskidsfirst.org, an IFT-sponsored, online parent information portal, to access PSRP Day information and resources, helpful links and free, downloadable cards you can print and give to the important PSRPs in your life – and your child’s.

If your local or council hosts a special event to recognize PSRP Day, let us know!

E-mail communications@ift-aft.org with information, photos or video of the event, and it may be featured on the IFT Web site or in a future issue of UnionLink.
