The 2014 IFT Lobby Day will be held Tuesday, April 29 in conjunction with A Better Illinois’ Fair Tax Citizen Lobby Day. With so many fiscal challenges before our State, this cooperative effort will be one of the most important events in many years for IFT members and the public we serve. Among the items we expect to be addressed is a fair tax constitutional amendment which would give voters an opportunity to decide if lower income tax rates should be provided for lower income working families and if higher rates should be assessed to those with higher incomes.

Additionally, IFT members will be asked to help promote our union’s position on other issues that may include increased education funding, tightening oversights on charter schools and other important initiatives under consideration by lawmakers.
