The National Board Resource Center (NBRC) is a nonprofit organization that has been charged with overseeing the Illinois State Board of Education program that enables teachers and school counselors to become National Board certified. The NBRC provides payment for teacher-candidate fees and support through the process in the form of cohorts, certificate-alike webinars, and matching candidates with National Board Resource Center trained readers.
The National Board process has been updated in recent years, so you may want to listen to the updated 15-minute presentation and view a brief video from National Board Certified Teachers.
The Illinois National Board Candidate Fee Subsidy application window for teachers and school counselors pursuing National Board Certification beginning in the 2021-2022 school year opens September 1, 2021, at 10 a.m.
An informational webinar will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. If interested in listening in on the webinar register here.
