National Board certification candidate fee subsidy now available

Interested educators and counselors must apply before October 6.
Educators and counselors who wish to begin pursuing National Board certification in the 2019-20 school year may apply now for the $1,900 National Board candidate fee subsidy. Applications are due by October 6.

National Board certification is considered the gold standard in teaching certification. Those who have undergone the process frequently say that is was the best professional development experience of their career.

The certification is provided through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), a not-for-profit professional organization created and governed by practicing teachers and their advocates. National Board candidates can receive free support from the National Board Resource Center (NBRC) at Illinois State University. Email Director Kristin Mason or call the NBRC at (309) 438-1833 for more information.
