Register today for union-sponsored training
The IFT understands that members have just endured the most difficult school year of their careers. That's why your union is offering free and low-cost training opportunities designed to address important and timely topics for educators and PSRPs.
Courses in the IFT's 2021 Summer Virtual Learning Series include:
Supporting Students with Grief and Loss - July 13
Member Self-care During Traumatic Times - July 14
Teaching to the Times: Culturally Relevant Pedagogy as Key to Trauma-informed Practice - August 3
Initial Teacher Evaluation/AA2001 - Multiple dates, beginning July 14
Each of these courses provides Professional Development (PD) credit for preK-12 license renewal through the IFT. (After you have registered and attended, you will receive the documentation needed to receive your PD credit.)
Space in the Summer Virtual Learning Series courses is limited, so learn more and register today!
Our national union, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is also offering members a variety of opportunities this summer.
AFT TEACH, the union's biennial professional learning conference, will be held online from July 6-10. Educators and union activists can access more than 50 workshops, general sessions, and special events and PD credit is available.
AFT Summer Educator Academy will offer a wide variety of both train-the-trainer and participant-only courses online, beginning as soon as July 19.
Share My Lesson on demand webinars are also available. IFT members can now receive PD credit for participation! (Email sharemylesson@ift-aft.org with questions.)
Your unions are excited to provide these summer learning opportunities to help members grow and thrive, both professionally and personally. We hope you'll review the options and register today!
